Youth Groups and Activities

At St Oswald's there is a variety of groups and activities to cater for children and young people of all ages. Take a look below to get a flavour of what is on offer. If you are new to the church and wish to find out more about the youth activities we run for your child or children then please visit our Contact Us page.

Sunday School

Sunday SchoolEvery Sunday morning, during the 10:00 service, children can attend our Sunday School, where they will undertake a number of crafts, games and other activities based around bible stories. The children join the main service near the end and get to tell the congregation what they have been doing that day and to show their creations to everyone.

Sunday school doesn't run on the first Sunday of the month, as this is a family service, which the children attend.

Every Christmas Eve the children also have the chance to be in the nativity play in the church, which attracts many families and is a great start to the Christmas holiday.

Junior Youth Club

We are looking to restart our Junior Youth Club in the near future. The youth club caters for children aged between 7 and 12 years old and will meet on the second Sunday of the month from 5:30-7:00pm. We provide a range of activities from arts and crafts to cookery, sports and quizzes. We've even been searching for bats and taken a barge down the Grand Union canal! If you would like to know more or are interested in coming please do Contact Us for more information.
We have a full range of activities planned during term time and welcome all comers in a friendly environment.

Holland House Retreat

Holland HouseTwice a year, a group of young adults retreat to a beautiful house in the Worcestershire countryside, Holland House, Cropthorne. Here we have a quiet space to reflect on the bigger things in life, enjoy the surroundings, eat delicious food and receive warm hospitality.

Charlton BridgeFor over 40 years we have been visiting Holland House and having weekends of discussions as well as trips swimming, walks and a range of activities in the amazing grounds. Holland House has provided many fantastic weekends and is a very special place to many Companions who have been back 20, 30 or even more times over the years! It's impossible to really understand what a Cropthorne weekend is really like until you've been on one but, once you've been, you'll almost certainly want to go again!
